Safe-end flame shaped diamond #8861. Can be used for sub-gingival curettage (removes necrotic sulcus lining) and removing sub-gingival calculus for initial root planing.
Friction grip (FG) burs are typically used in high-speed handpieces. iM3 recommends disposing of burs between each patient or if they become dull during long procedures, to reduce turbine wear on the high-speed handpiece. These burs are intended for single use, and the cost should be factored into each procedure.
