Description

iM3 Curing Light Veterinary Dental Equipment

Reliable composite curing in every veterinary setting — three precision modes, wireless freedom.

The iM3 LED Curing Light (L6005) gives veterinary dental professionals complete control over composite curing without the restrictions of a corded device. With wireless magnetic induction charging and a pen-style handpiece, the L6005 fits naturally into any dental workflow — from a general practice bench setup to a specialist suite — and delivers consistent, reliable light output for composite restorations across all species.

Three selectable curing modes mean you can match the light output to the clinical situation. Low-Temperature mode pulses between 600 and 1300 mW/cm² for gentle curing of temperature-sensitive materials. Standard mode delivers a constant 1000–1200 mW/cm² output suitable for conventional composite work. When speed matters, Fast mode delivers high-intensity curing at 2300–2500 mW/cm² for rapid cycles. A broad wavelength range of 385–515 nm with a 460 nm peak wavelength ensures compatibility across a wide range of composite resins and adhesives.

The 360° rotating LED cure tip allows accurate positioning in awkward oral locations, while the digital display keeps the operator informed of battery level, active mode, and any error alerts. The device auto-shuts down when idle to conserve charge, and the wireless charging base keeps it ready for the next procedure. Designed for a 15-year service life, the L6005 is CE marked and conforms to IEC 60601-1-2.

Frequently asked questions

What curing modes does the L6005 offer, and when should I use each one?
The L6005 has three modes. Low-Temperature uses pulsed light (600–1300 mW/cm²) to reduce heat build-up, making it suitable for temperature-sensitive materials or prolonged curing near the pulp. Standard provides a constant 1000–1200 mW/cm² output for everyday composite and adhesive work. Fast delivers 2300–2500 mW/cm² for rapid curing cycles when time efficiency is a priority. Switch between modes by holding the Mode/Time button.
What materials is the L6005 compatible with?
The L6005 is designed to cure light-sensitive dental restorative materials, including composite resins and adhesives. Its 385–515 nm wavelength range (peak 460 nm) provides broad compatibility across most dental composite brands. Always confirm your composite manufacturer's recommended wavelength and irradiance before use.
How do I charge the L6005?
Place the handpiece into the wireless charging base and connect the power adapter to a 100–240V supply. The base uses magnetic induction charging — no plug-in connector required. The indicator light on the base glows orange during charging and turns green when fully charged. Always unplug the adapter when the device is not in use, and avoid charging in humid or wet environments. Recharge monthly if the device is stored for extended periods.
How do I clean and disinfect the L6005?
Detach the LED cure tip from the handpiece before cleaning. Wipe all surfaces with a fresh alcohol-based, tuberculocidal, quaternary ammonium disinfectant wipe (5-minute contact time). Use a separate wipe for the cure tip and handpiece. Do not immerse the device in liquid or use automated washers — only general wipe-down disinfection is approved. Dry with a lint-free cloth and allow to air dry before reassembly. The battery is not user-serviceable; contact your distributor for battery-related service.
The display is showing an error — what does it mean?
Two error codes may appear. E1 indicates that the LED cure tip is not properly connected — remove and reseat the tip securely. E3 indicates a critically low battery — the handpiece will beep three times and shut down automatically. Place the device on the charging base before continuing.

Safety — Important

  • For use by licensed veterinary professionals only.
  • Never direct the curing light at eyes. Use appropriate eye protection — safety goggles or a protective shield — for both the operator and patient at all times during use.
  • Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure of the curing light near the pulp or soft tissues. Limit each curing cycle to reduce the risk of thermal damage.
  • The LED cure tip may exceed 43°C during multiple consecutive curing cycles. Allow the device to cool before contact with skin or mucosa.
  • Inspect the LED cure tip for damage before each use. The tip contains glass components — handle with care and discontinue use if breakage occurs.
  • Do not use the device for intraoral illumination or transillumination of teeth.
